Aashara Foundation one of the fastest growing NGO established in 2011, as the name implies, is a not-for-profit & non-governmental organisation. It is committed to grassroots development activities that engage and involve communities, the people living therein and empower them to take action in solving their problems. Aashara Foundation has been founded and promoted by Prof. Dr. Samir Raval who is a professional with multidisciplinary background and considerable grass-root experiences. His desire to facilitate and support participatory actions for sustainable development, to prepare skilled generation and to help the needy and to meaningfully contribute to alleviate poverty has always been his driving motivation. It is an offshoot of analysis of experiences of the founder with the existing development approaches and process which have rather made people dependent and powerless.
